Detailed Itinerary ( 10 days )

  • Day 1

    Arrival in Manali

    Elevation: Manali –2,050m/6,726ft
    Manali, at the northern end of Kulu valley, is a beautiful Himalayan hill station with an unbeatable location. The river Beas meanders through the town, surrounded by deodar and pine trees, tiny fields, fruit orchards and grassy meadows carpeted with wildflowers which give way to stunning views of lofty snow‐capped peaks. The friendly people of this area are famous for their unique style of dress, including men’s pill‐box caps with colorful geometric embroidery. We take our bikes and go for a test ride to tune in with bike and the group around Manali. If doing car trip we explore the places around. Overnight at hotel with dinner and breakfast included.

  • Day 2

    24km/46km/23km–93km; Travel Time:3‐4 hrs
    Elevation: Keylong–3,350m/10,991ft, Jispa–3,182m/10,439ft
    We start our journey on Manali - Leh highway. The highway crosses some of the highest mountain passes in the world and promises to be one of the most memorable and scenic experiences of all time. We start our journey by crossing famous Atal tunnel build recently for alternate to Rohtang pass. It is world's longest tunnel at Highest altitude measuring 9.2 kilometres and connects Lahaul valley to Kullu valley. Crossing Atal tunnel, we enter Lahaul valley and continue our Journey till Jispa for overnight stay at a river side camp. Overnight at a camp with dinner and breakfast included.

  • Day 3

    JISPA –SHINKU LA – PURNE

    Distance: 88km; Travel Time: 4‐6 hrs.
    Elevation: Shinkula La –5,091m/16,703 feet
    Depart early morning, crossing the Shinku La to arrive in Zanskar valley. Zanskar valley is located in central Ladakh with very less population and vast area. This valley is very remote as the road which we will travel is opened just three years back. Zanskar valley has magnificent landscapes full of natural beauty and paradise for off roaders as the road is unpaved with water crossings, offroad patches and full of adventure. We will stop at Gonbo Rangjon mountain for a short photography and lunch break, it will be the main highlight of today's travel. Later we will reach Purne a small village and base for the trek to Phugktal monastery for night stay. Overnight at camp with dinner and breakfast included.

  • Day 4

    PURNE – PHUGKTAL – PADUM

    Distance: 48km, Travel Time: 2‐3 hrs
    Elevation: Shinkula La –5,091m/16,703ft, Padum –3,669m/ 12,037 feet
    Depart early morning, for the trek to Phugktal Monastery. It is approx. 4 kilometers walk one side can be done in 2-3 both ways depending on your fitness and number of breaks you take. It is worth visiting this enchanting place as the whole monastery is situated in a cave hanging on the cliff and is very remote and ancient still preserving its past. Later we will drive from Purne to reach Padum the main town of Zanskar valley for night stay. Overnight at Hotel with dinner and breakfast included.

  • Day 5

    In PADUM

    A relaxed day in Padum after a hectic ride. We can take rest in the morning and ride nearby monasteries in the afternoon Otherwise whole day can be utilised to take rest and getting ready for the journey onwards. Overnight at Hotel with dinner and breakfast included.

  • Day 6

    PADUM –PENSI LA –PADUMG

    Distance: 78km / 78km/ –156km, Travel Time: 6‐7 hrs
    Elevation: Pensi la –4,400m/14,400ft, Drang Drung - 4,780m/15,680 feet
    Ride to Pensi la–a high altitude pass in the Zanskar valley of Ladakh Himalayas. WE start after breakfast and head towards Padum- Kargil highway to reach Pensila pass. Pensila is between Zanskar and Suru valley. You can see Drang Drung glacier likely to be the second largest glacier of Ladakh after Siachen with a length of 23 kms, along with three small lakes on pass. The whole way is full of scenic landscapes, lofty peaks and some magnificent landscapes. We come back to Padum for overnight stay. Overnight at a Hotel with dinner and breakfast included.

  • Day 7

    PADUM – SINGE LA – SIR SIR LA - LAMAYURU

    Distance: 116km/48km/46Km –210km, Travel Time: 9‐11 hrs
    Singe La –5,091m/ 16, 703 ft, Sir Sir La – 4,805 m/15,761 ft, Lamayuru – 3,510m/ 11,520 feet
    This morning we start very early as this is the longest day of our ride. We take the recently opened road with Zanskar river which is very steep and narrow and mostly unpaved. This day is going to be very adventurous along wit beautiful landscapes. We cross two high altitude passes to reach Lamayuru by evening. Evening we can visit Lamayuru Monastery and Moon land. Overnight at hotel with dinner and breakfast included.

  • Day 8

    LAMAYURU – LEH

    Distance: 115km; Travel Time: 3‐4hrs
    Elevation : Leh –3,510m/11,520ft
    After a relaxed morning we head towards Leh town the capital of Ladakh for overnight stay. Overnight at Guest House.

  • Day 9

    Leh

    Our last day of trip. We can either have a relaxed day and visit Leh town, day trip to Khardungla, river rafting or local sightseeing. Overnight at Hotel with dinner and breakfast included.

  • Day 10

    LEH Departure

    Fly back to home. Trip Terminates.
